Hello Everyone. I apologize for the long delay between posts. I will try to be much better in the future. Today I am posting about my recent painting, “Come.” As I finished the painting, I felt like the Holy Spirit was telling me that the painting was a representation of Matthew 11:28-30- 28 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavily burdened [by religious rituals that provide no peace], and I will give you rest [refreshing your souls with salvation]. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest (renewal, blessed quiet) for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy [to bear] and My burden is light.” (Amplified Bible).
If you zoom in on the painting, you will see forms in the shape of people coming to Jesus from every direction. There are some people marching up His arms, over His heart, on His shoulder, near His head, and along the bottom of the canvas. The sun represents God the Father, then Jesus, in the middle, the Son and the golden figure represents the Holy Spirit.
The people were formed by squirting paint onto one canvas, then pressing the two canvases together, and spraying with water so the paint drips. For those of you who don’t know my process, I don’t plan my paintings. I paint using my intuition and the leading of the Holy Spirit. I didn’t place the people in the painting. I love how God works. He is the Great Creator and all things are possible with Him.
Thanks for reading. Take care and God bless you.
Hello Everyone, thank you for your patience while I’ve been rebuilding my website.
This photo is from a recent “Paint and Go” session at the “Picture That” studio in Pomona, CA. Our theme for this session was two love birds perched on a tree branch.
The class was a success and everyone was pleased with their final painting. All who attended were new to painting and this was their second “Paint and Go” party.
Our next paint party is scheduled for November 3rd, 1 - 3 pm, at the “Picture That” studio, 340 S. East End Ave. # H, Pomona, CA. 91766. Seats book quickly, so you can reserve your seat online or call Shellise Berry at (909) 510-0980. Hope to see you there.
